Hector Vazquez

General Manager of Las Palomas Beach & Golf Resort since October 2008.

As General Manager of Las Palomas, I worked together with my team to implement the recovery strategy from influenza and the economic crisis that took place in 2007 and 2008.

In 2008, for the first time Las Palomas was certified as a 4 Diamond Resort by AAA. Recognition that we have achieved for more than 13 years. The only ones in Puerto Peñasco.

Another achievement of my management is have been distinguished by Expedia as one of the top 25 producers in Mexico and by the government of Sonora as the most important tourist development with a share of 12% of accommodation income in the state and the 34% of Puerto Peñasco’ s lodging income.

We are a company with values and social responsibility, so year after year we support different charitable associations such as: Nursing Home, Casa Hogar La Esperanza and 1Mission.

We are also committed with the UN women’s empowerment project and for this 2021 we aim to have 51% of women in our work team as well as we have the commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment in which by the end of the 2020 we set ourselves the goal of not using plastics to protect the oceans.

President of Conventions and Visitors Bureau of Puerto Peñasco

Since 2012 I was elected President of the Board of the Puerto Peñasco Convention and Visitors Office, within the achievements of this responsibility, we made Puerto Peñasco the number one destination in Sonora, surpassing Hermosillo as the largest generator of economic resources by Lodging. To date I am still in charge of such an honorable distinction.
